Pointless Board Game

A fun and exciting game for all the family

25 Apr Pointless Board Game

Based on the popular and compelling BBC 1 TV quiz show, the Pointless Board Game will keep the whole family entertained. For those who, like me, are fans of the show you will know that the whole idea behind the game is that the least likely answer is the best answer.

The aim of the game is to be the player that has the least amount of points at the end, ideally to be ‘pointless’. Each question in the game has been asked to a group of 100 people. These people are asked to give as many answers as they can within 100 seconds. When playing the game you have to try and give answers that you think people would not have chosen.

Any answer given that none of the 100 people have said will be worth zero points – these are Pointless answers that players are aiming for. For example, if the question asks you to name a film starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Titanic is not a good answer as 88 people in the survey gave this. Anybody who says The Man in the Iron Mask gets a much better score of 6 points. The game is for 2-4 players or teams and is for players aged 10+.

It includes a Pointless playing board, a series of general knowledge questions on cards, 4 pencils, an answer sheet pad, a stand up trophy, Head to Head tokens, Pointless Trophy tokens, 3 question card holders, 8 playing pieces and instructions. I absolutely loved playing this game and will definitely play it again.

One of the things I thought was brilliant is that you not only have to think about the correct answers but also have to think about what answers not many people would have said. This makes it much trickier, as well as much funnier.

The RRP for the Pointless board game is £19.99 and is available from www.amazon.co.uk
