Personal – This is the most widely recognised orgainiser that has plenty of room for business and social plans.
Pocket – This is the perfect size to fit into a bag or briefcase, still allowing you to have detailed planning.
Mini – This is the smallest size and is ideal for keeping important diary dates and contacts.
Compact – This features a smaller ring mechanism so can be placed in pockets.
Having such a variety of sizes available ensures Filofax have an organiser to suit every need and personality.
The wide range of designs also ensure every taste is catered for.
I have not used a Filofax before so when I had the chance to try using one I was a bit unsure whether I actually needed one. Most of my organising is done on my phone or tablet so I was not sure if I would need to use the Filofax. To my surprise I used it much more than I thought I would.
I have the Calipso Compact Filiofax in a stunning burnt orange colour. The stylish soft leather personal organiser is in deluxe leather and features a fashionable contrasting croc print closure.
The Calipso Compact includes a transparent flyleaf, 2 colour front sheet to co-ordinate with organiser range, week on 2 pages diary, 1 -6 coloured index, To do, white ruled notepaper, white quadrille notepaper, white plain notepaper, contacts, blue ruled notepaper, green ruled notepaper, pink ruled notepaper, frosted ruler/page marker and a 2014 diary.
I used the Filofax for both work and personal organising. The different coloured ruled notepaper helped me organise my work and personal life separately, which worked well for me. I also used the diary a lot and began to rely on the diary in the Filofax more than on my phone.
I used the ‘Contacts’ pages in the Filofax when I needed to write letters or cards and needed people’s addresses. However, I tended to rely on the contacts on my mobile phone more when wanting to phone people as they were much easier to access.
I also found I used the notepaper a lot when I needed to make quick notes.
As the Filofax was compact it fit easily into my bag and was easy to carry around with me at all times.
Overall I found the Filofax very useful and I used it much more than I thought I would. I still use my mobile phone and tablet to help organise my life but I also now use the Filofax too.
The new 2013 range is worth taking a look at and would make ideal Christmas or birthday gifts.
