Photo gifts are always a fantastic gift to give loved ones as memories are instantly brought back to life. They are also an excellent way to show loved ones how much they mean to you as the gift is so wonderfully personal.
Therefore when I had the chance to design a photo book from Bathtub Admiral I was delighted. I hadn’t heard of Bathtub Admiral before so was unsure of what to expect. However, I was very pleased with the finished result.
Bathtub Admiral is a small family owned and run photo book site. It was established three years ago and their mission is “to preserve memories, getting photos and memories out of their hiding places and putting them into Photo books for you and your friends and family to share.”
I chose to design a Portrait Leather Custom Cover Photo Book. These books start with 24 pages up to a maximum of 96. They require a minimum of 60 photos and I could add as much text as I wanted.
I could choose from a range of themes for my photo book, such as baby, special day and occasions and travel. Or I could create my own backgrounds or even start from scratch. I chose a pastel theme for my book.
Before starting the design process I chose all the photos that I wanted to put into the book. I initially did this to ensure the design process would be fairly quick and straightforward. Once I started the process, I was pleased I did organise my photos as I had to upload all the photos in the order that I wanted them in the book. I have however since discovered that I could actually re-order the photos as I wish.
Once my photos were uploaded I could drag them into the book and move, rotate and resize them if necessary. I found this very straightforward to do and liked having the control to ensure my book was customised the way I wanted.
There was also an option to add text to each page if I wanted to write captions for the photos. I decided not to use any text in my book. If the text boxes are not used they are automatically removed when you preview the book and are not printed.
Once I had finished designing the book, I then previewed the photo book which I thought was very helpful as it showed me how the finished product would look.
When the photo book was delivered to me I was very happy with the finished result. The book was of a very good quality, as were the pictures.
Photo books from Bathtub Admiral are wonderful gifts for loved ones and I would definitely use Bathtub Admiral again.
