When I had the opportunity to review the Champneys Mediterranean Bliss Shimmering Body Oil I jumped at the chance. Having used Champneys products before, I know how lovely their products are to my skin.
I have used many shimmering body creams and oils in the past and I have to say the Champneys Mediterranean Bliss Shimmering Body Oil is definitely one of my favourites.
This shimmering body oil is absolutely ideal for summer. The nourishing jojoba, sesame seed oil and rice bran oils hydrate your skin, leaving it feeling extremely soft and conditioned. The drying effects of the summer sun are therefore taken away with this wonderful oil. This oil also worked wonders on particularly dry areas, such as my elbows and knees.
The scent of this oil is also gorgeous. I’m quite fussy about the smells of body creams and oils I use as I don’t like anything too overpowering. The scent of this oil however was perfect. The sensual ylang ylang, calming sandalwood and exotic patchouli oils created a wonderful, subtle aroma that I adored. I definitely felt pampered rubbing this scent into my skin.
I’m a huge fan of creams and oils that give a shimmer and glow to my skin and this body oil did this very well. The gold shimmer included in this oil made my skin extremely radiant and brought out my natural tan colour. I loved how the gold flecks subtly shimmered in the sunlight, leaving my skin looking extremely healthy and radiant.
The bottle of the oil has a brilliant stopper top that controls how much you can pour out. This is a great feature as you will not tip too much out of the bottle. The oil can therefore be applied gradually to your skin ensuring each part is nourished well.
The Champneys Shimmering Body Oil is a wonderful skincare product to have this summer. The oil leaves skin feeling extremely soft and I absolutely loved the shimmering effect it had on my skin. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants a spa treatment for their skin everyday at home.
