27 Aug Gtech AirRam Cordless Vacuum
When I had the opportunity to test the Gtech AirRam vacuum cleaner, I jumped at the chance. Having used the Gtech cordless grass trimmer and being so impressed with its performance, I couldn’t wait to try another one of their products.
I was immediately impressed with how easy the vacuum was to assemble. I just had to slide the handle into the slot and plug the battery into charge.
Gtech states that the battery for the AirRam only needs 4 hours to fully charge. This was an impressive claim as many other upright vacuums can take up to 12 hours to charge. Gtech did not disappoint. The battery charged in 4 hours and lasted for about 30-40 minutes. I thought this was absolutely brilliant.
I was also surprised with how lightweight the AirRam is and how easy it is to use. It was very easy to control as by twisting the handle, the floor head rotates to where you need to go. I could also clean right up to the skirting which I was very impressed with. This is possible because the suction goes up to the edges.
The AirRam was more powerful than I expected. It cleaned my carpets and laminate floor brilliantly. My carpets definitely looked much cleaner after having used the AirRam compared to my usual vacuum cleaner.
The AirRam vacuum technology compresses the dirt, dust and fluff into compact, tidy bales which I could then just put into the bin. This was a lot easier than using the vacuum bags, as the dust comes out slightly when removing the bag from the vacuum.
The fact that the AirRam is cordless made it very convenient to use. I could move around the room easily and freely without worrying about a cord getting in the way. I could also move from upstairs to downstairs very easily as I didn’t have to worry about unplugging the plug.
The AirRam also has an additional handle that is placed in the middle of the machine. This also makes the vacuum easier to carry up and down stairs.
The AirRam battery can also be plugged into your computer using a USB cable. After the software has been downloaded, you can then check details about your vacuum such as the state of your battery, how long the battery has been running for and also how many calories you have burnt.
Gtech state that the AirRam is over 20 times more energy efficient than some other leading mains powered vacuum cleaners. This is another great feature of the vacuum.
Having tested the AirRam for a couple of weeks, I absolutely love it and do not use my old vacuum anymore. The AirRam is so convenient, lightweight and powerful that I don’t want to use any other vacuum. It is quite a noisy device, but to be honest I do not mind this as it performs extremely well and is so easy to use that is makes cleaning much quicker and simpler.
