31 Jul Karcher Steam Cleaner
I am a huge fan of Karcher and was very excited to review the Karcher Steam Cleaner SC5.800C model.
The SC5.800C model has many great features that made it an extremely easy steamer to use, as well as making it a very effective cleaner.
This particular steamer has a powerful 4.0 bar steam pressure and 1800W heating capacity. It also has a removable, permanently refillable water tank that delivers non-stop steam for pure cleanliness. You do not need to use any chemicals with this stream cleaner, which I think is brilliant.
This model also has a “VapoHydro” function which means you can remove even stubborn dirt very easily by switching to hot water. Therefore stubborn dirt can be dissolved by the steam and then can simply be washed away. I found this was brilliant in the kitchen, especially when removing greasy dirt as there was no need to scrub or use chemicals. The steam cleaner cleaned my cooker hood brilliantly and very easily. To my amazement, within seconds it was sparkling clean. The steam flow regulation also meant I could adapt the intensity to the surface I was cleaning so I could use it on all areas of my kitchen.
I used this cleaner on my kitchen taps, sink, tiles, grout and cooker and all were cleaned extremely well and very very easily. I was so amazed at the results, that I did find myself finding anything in the kitchen that could be cleaned just so I could see how clean it would get!
I then took the cleaner into my bathroom and again, the sink, taps and tiles were cleaned brilliantly. I also tested the steam cleaner on the grout in my bathroom. I usually find this grout very difficult to clean and have previously used many different cleaning products to try and get them sparkling clean. I was therefore very interested to see how well the Karcher Steam Cleaner cleaned the grout. I used the smallest nozzle and was very impressed with how quickly the grout was cleaned. The steam cleaner it much better than any product I had previously used.
This Karcher Steam Cleaner also offers many practical features. All the accessories can be stored neatly on the cleaner so minimal storage is required. The cleaner also has large wheels so it is easy to manoeuvre when you are cleaning. The device also has an accessory socket to which a steam iron may be connected.
One of my favourite features of this cleaner is the child lock. When the steam cleaner is not in use, you can put the child lock on so no steam will come out of the device. With two young children at home, I thought this was a brilliant feature and use the child lock all the time.
This model of steam cleaner is perfect for all areas of your home. It includes a small round brush which is ideal when you need a concentrated amount of steam e.g. for grout. It has a floor cloth for large areas such as laminate flooring or tiled floors, and a hand sized cloth for medium sized areas such as shower screens, kitchen work tops and ovens.
The Karcher Steam Cleaner SC5.800C is a fantastic cleaner that I would highly recommend. It has become part of my weekly cleaning routine and I now do not know how I cleaned without it.
