TGI Fridays

A fantastic restaurant to take the family this summer

21 Jul TGI Fridays

As the summer holidays are upon us, every parent knows how important it is to keep the children entertained. A fabulous family restaurant to visit this summer is TGI Fridays.

TGI Fridays is a restaurant with a fun, upbeat vibe. I visited the London Mill Hill restaurant with my partner and two young children and we loved both the atmosphere and the food.

The Mill Hill Restaurant has a trendy, vibrant décor which made our visit even more enjoyable. The walls were ordained with movie memorabilia which was a great hit with my 3 year old son. He now wants a Star Wars Light sabre for his next birthday! The restaurant also had the classic red and white stripe décor, which is synonymous with TGI Fridays.

All staff were very friendly and smiley and made us thoroughly enjoy our visit. The waiting staff were very helpful and accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed.

TGI Fridays have a great new kids menu available which has a wide range of food for little ones. The kids menu has two option available: ‘Little League’ and ‘Major League’. The Little League menu is perfect for younger children who need smaller portions. Food available on this menu includes Pasta, Chicken burger, Chicken tender and Fish Fingers. Each meal comes with ‘Fridays Fingers’ which includes tasty apple sticks, mixed peppers, cucumber and carrot. The Little League meals cost £3.49 so are very reasonable. We got one of these meals for my youngest child and it was the perfect size for him.

The Major League menu caters for older children who have bigger appetites. The food available on this menu includes: pizza, pasta, burgers, BBQ ribs and hotdogs. The food on this menu costs between £4.49 and £5.99, which again is very reasonable. We ordered a meal from this menu and like the ‘Little League’ meal was a very good sized portion.

Children can also choose from a range of desserts and drinks, especially catered to the younger guest. All children are also given an activity book and colours to keep them entertained. This is something me and my partner thought was fantastic as the children were not getting restless waiting for their food.

My children thoroughly enjoyed their food and I thought their food was very good quality. They also got a dessert each; both wanted the ice cream sundae which they absolutely loved.

The adult menu was also impressive as it had a wide range of food on offer. The food available included a range of burgers, fajitas, steaks, chicken and seafood.

I had the French Dip Burger. This included caramelized onions, melted Swiss cheese and garlic mayo. It was served with a rich beef sauce to pour over or dip the burger in. This was accompanied by delicious crispy fries. This burger was extremely tasty and was a very good size. It definitely filled me up. The cost of the burger was £11.99 which I thought was a good price.

My partner tried the Fridays® Double Glazed Jack Daniel’s® burger. This included a Jack Daniel’s® sweet ‘n’ smoky glaze, Monterey Jack cheese, Jack Daniel’s® candied bacon and Fridays® mayo. The cost of this burger was £11.49 and my partner really enjoyed it. I tried some of this burger too and was surprised how delicious it was, the Jack Daniels was not overpowering at all.

TGI Fridays is a great place to take the family this summer. It caters for a range of tastes and ages so will please everyone. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend these restaurants.
